the gentle art of
Isle of Wight netwalking & moon circles
“Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.” Albert Einstein
Caroline Harrison (a dancer, and pilates and movement instructor) and I set up The Gentle Art Of in summer 2025.
We wanted to gather people together, to feel connected to the earth, ourselves and each other. To release the pressures of everyday life, go inwards, and find ourselves in the quiet of nature.
We held a few moon circles and then decided to bring my netwalking practice into the fold too.
Walking in nature is such a great way to connect to our sense of place, as well as de-stress from the challenges of life.

The gentle art of gathering – moon circles
Our moon circles have become very popular. Held at Carisbrooke Flower Farm, on or very near to a full moon every couple of months.
We gather, get to know each other over a fresh herbal tea before being taken on a gentle movement journey with Caroline. I then lead everyone in a short guided meditation and journaling practice before a really cleansing releasing ritual.
We then hand you over to Claire from Carisbrooke Flower Farm who gives you a tour of the flowers and their meanings before you are able to cut and arrange your own posy.
We finish each moon circle with a shared meal, outside, around the table.
The gentle art of walking – netwalking
I started a netwalking back in 2023 when I realised how much I didn’t like traditional networking.
The idea was to gather a group of business owners, creatives and whoever else fancied a walk, together for a walk in nature to get to know each other
That idea took off more amongst the creatives, so now, although anone is still welcome on the walks, it’s the creatives I gear the walks towards.
After a year long break, I am bringing back the walks – but with a twist!
I am now adding in some of the practices from the beautiful moon circles. So now the walks with include grounding practices, and time during the walks to connect to your creativity through whichever medium you like – photography, drawing, painting, writing, or just observing. 15 or so minutes to just be.
We finish each walk in a cafe with coffee and a cake and shared stories.
